About The Position

St. Christopher's Hospital for Children is seeking a Pediatric Advanced Practitioner in our Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to join our team. You will join a team of 8 Physicians and 2 Nurse Practitioners. The APP serves multiple roles. On weekends (7:30A to 4:30P) the APP will be the frontline provider for 8 patients. They will be expected to examine their patients, write a progress note, present a plan on rounds and follow up with the care plan in the afternoon. On night shifts (4:40P to 7:30A) the APP will be on call with the attending neonatologist and pediatric resident. Procedures expected to perform include intubation, arterial blood draws, venous blood draws, UVC/UAC placement, IV placement, and PICC placement.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in a relevant field.
• PA Registered Nurse License.
• PA Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner License.
• Relevant experience in pediatric care.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients and write progress notes.
• Present care plans during rounds.
• Follow up with care plans in the afternoon.
• Serve as the frontline provider for patients on weekends.
• Be on call with the attending neonatologist and pediatric resident during night shifts.
• Perform medical procedures such as intubation and blood draws.
