About The Position

As a Stator Manufacturing Technician, you will play a hands-on role in building stators for our electric engines supporting the Midnight aircraft. This position operates in a predominantly manual production environment, where strict adherence to work instructions, precision, and attention to detail are critical to success.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a technical field or 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience
  • Experience working in an R&D, prototype, or early production manufacturing environment
  • Strong hands-on experience assembling mechanical and/or electronic components using technical documentation
  • High standards for workmanship, quality, and attention to detail
  • Ability to follow formal work instructions and accurately document deviations
  • Strong written communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and basic drafting standards
  • Experience using measurement and inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, CMMs, etc.)
  • Familiarity with 5S or similar workplace organization methodologies
  • Experience following maintenance and manufacturing safety protocols (LOTO, arc flash, ESD, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • IPC certification or working knowledge of IPC standards
  • Direct experience with stator winding and insulation processes
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP

Responsibilities

  • Assemble stators and support electric engine subassemblies using manual, semi-automated, and automated equipment (e.g., stators, motors, inverters, gearboxes)
  • Execute winding, insulation, impregnation, and mechanical assembly processes for stator builds
  • Work closely with Manufacturing and Design Engineering teams to support equipment bring-up, process development, and validation activities
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve equipment and process issues to support continuous improvement
  • Diagnose and debug stator-related issues during build and test
  • Build and modify basic lab fixtures, tooling, and test aids as needed
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance on production and lab equipment
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections using basic metrology tools (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, measurement microscopes, etc.)
  • Accurately document build issues, process deviations, inspection results, and manufacturing parameters
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with 5S and safety protocols
