About The Position

The Statistician role leverages advanced and specialized physics research expertise to test and analyze physical phenomena, conduct and shape R&D programs, and support S&T client challenges. The position involves developing, analyzing, and testing data sets, collaborating with other engineers when necessary, and applying advanced skills or extensive technical expertise to translate analytical findings into practical solutions. The role requires developing innovative solutions to complex problems, working without considerable direction, and mentoring or supervising team members.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with developing design of experiments (DoEs) and data analysis.
  • 5+ years of experience with programming using R.
  • 5+ years of experience with MATLAB, Mathematica, or Python.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and methodologies, including regression, DoE and experimental design, mathematical statistics and statistical inference, survival analysis, categorical data analysis, or multivariate statistics.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience with JMP.
  • Experience with electronic and electrical systems such as vehicles, outboard motors, UAS, or USV.
  • Experience with RF data acquisition and analysis.
  • Experience with LogXACT.
  • Experience with existing engagement M&S software such as Joint Radio-frequency Effect Model (JREM), Mobile Application Security Testing (MAST), or Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM).
  • Master's degree.
