Licensed Stationary Engineer Location: Kansas City, KS Employment Type: Full-time Compensation: $41.32/hr Position Overview JLL is seeking a Licensed Stationary Engineer to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all systems equipment within an industrial facility, with primary focus on boiler operations, HVAC systems, and critical building infrastructure.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on base building and critical system equipment
  • Operate and maintain Cleaver Brooks natural gas-fired boilers and steam systems
  • Monitor refrigeration, chilled water, HVAC, and emergency generator equipment
  • Install and repair plumbing, piping, electrical controls, pumps, and motors
  • Identify and respond to critical alarms, document maintenance activities
  • Analyze water samples and manage steam/water treatment systems
  • Provide on-call emergency response support
  • Missouri Operating Engineer Certificate (required)
  • Universal CFC Certificate (required)
  • Journeyman rating with 5+ years heavy industrial experience
  • Mandatory on-call availability for emergencies
  • Boiler operations: starting, shutting down, adjusting to meet demands
  • Electrical maintenance and troubleshooting expertise
  • HVAC system operations and mechanical repairs
  • Steam system management and water treatment processes
  • Proficiency with automated building systems and operator control panels
  • Ability to work in noisy, hot, high-stress environments
  • Frequent stair climbing for inspections and emergency procedures
  • Significant "wrench time" and manual labor capabilities
  • Advanced Technical Experience
  • Multiple boiler manufacturer experience beyond Cleaver Brooks
  • Building automation systems (BAS) and energy management
  • Industrial refrigeration and process cooling systems
  • Predictive maintenance technologies
  • EPA Section 608 certification (Type I, II, III)
  • Additional state operating engineer licenses
  • OSHA safety certifications
  • Boiler inspector or related technical certifications
