About The Position

The Stationary Engineer position in Pittsburgh, PA, is a long-term career opportunity for an experienced individual with over 3 years of relevant experience. The role involves ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within assigned properties. The position offers immediate start and weekly pay, with a structured shift rotation that includes day, evening, and night shifts, along with some weekend work.

Requirements

  • EPA Universal certification.
  • 5+ years of related work experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting.
  • City of Pittsburgh Stationary Engineer License or NIULPE L.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical, plumbing, and electrical issues.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Customer/client-facing experience while performing work orders.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to successfully document completed work orders.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in occupied areas (customer service).
  • Strong computer skills (iPad, Email, Work Order Process).
  • Experience working in an industrial setting.
  • Experience in the operation, maintenance, and basics of HVAC, boilers, heaters, pumps, refrigerant systems, compressors, and water systems.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure efficient operation and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment and systems.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform routine assessments and rounds on assigned properties.
  • Conduct day-to-day preventive and corrective maintenance tasks.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial building systems and maintenance equipment.
  • Perform painting and housekeeping duties for assigned properties.
