About The Position

The position involves maintaining accurate logs on all equipment in the hospital and ensuring a safe working environment. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing equipment such as mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems, as well as maintaining the building and its related systems. The candidate must be certified and/or licensed in a specific trade that is directly related to healthcare engineering.

Requirements

• Five (5) years experience in an acute healthcare setting preferred.
• Able to troubleshoot, read schematics, and/or blue prints.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• Certified and/or licensed in a specified trade that is relative to healthcare engineering (Steam boiler, HVAC, etc).
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate logs on all equipment in the hospital.
• Provides for a safe working environment.
• Maintains and repairs equipment including mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, plant maintenance, and medical gas systems.
• Maintains the building and its related systems.
• Certified and/or licensed in a specific trade that is directly related to healthcare engineering.
