About The Position

Tessera is seeking a skilled and safety-minded Stationary Engineer II with a positive attitude to operate, maintain, and ensure the efficient performance of a wide range of Operations equipment, including pumps, compressors, generators, turbines, boilers, and related systems that provide essential services such as heat, air-conditioning, steam, and electricity. Typical duties include but are not limited to: Responsible for installation, repairs and troubleshooting steam or high-temperature water systems malfunctions. Coordinate preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment. Utilize wire diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and drawings to guide repairs and maintenance. Responsible for directing and guiding installs and programing of thermostats. Communicates and interacts directly with the customer, informing the customer of unexpected or additional repairs and determining customer needs. Responds to customer inquiries and complaints. Make difficult diagnoses and suggest solutions and repairs to customer. Ensure completed work meets quality control standards. Assists with orienting and training new employees and assists in work assignments.

Requirements

Highschool Diploma/GED is required.
Minimum 3 years of Stationary Engineer experience.
Ability to work in a variety of different environments, including inclement weather and high man lifts.
Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints.
Good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, and a good sense of balance.
A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.
Access to a federal military installation requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or an acceptable alternative, such as a U.S. passport or military ID, in accordance with the REAL ID Act.
Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearances and installation access.
A background check and E-Verify will be conducted for this position.

Steam Engineer license preferred.
