About The Position

Tessera is seeking a skilled and safety-minded Stationary Engineer to operate, maintain, and ensure the efficient performance of a wide range of Operations equipment, including pumps, compressors, generators, turbines, boilers, and related systems that provide essential services such as heat, air-conditioning, steam, and electricity. Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma/GED is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of Stationary Engineer experience.
  • Ability to work in a variety of different environments, including inclement weather and high man lifts.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics and blueprints.
  • Good manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, physical fitness, and a good sense of balance.
  • A valid state driver’s license is required with the ability to obtain and maintain coverage by Tessera’s insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for installation, repairs and troubleshooting steam or high-temperature water systems malfunctions.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment.
  • Utilize wire diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and drawings to guide repairs and maintenance.
  • Responsible for directing and guiding installs and programing of thermostats.
  • Communicates and interacts directly with the customer, informing the customer of unexpected or additional repairs and determining customer needs.
  • Responds to customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Make difficult diagnoses and suggest solutions and repairs to customer.
  • Ensures completed work meets quality control standards.
  • Assists with orienting and training new employees and assists in work assignments.
