Join our team and discover why we are a top veteran employer and Certified Great Place to Work™ SUMMARY: ASRC Federal Field Services provides logistical support at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in North Charleston (FLETC Federal Complex). We are looking for Boiler Operator to join our team. Description: Operate and provide maintenance on 10.5 MMBTU/HR capacity steam and hot water boilers Perform work on steam boiler safety devices. i.e., Main steam safeties, low and high-water shutdown switches, and applicable safety codes. Observe and interpret readings on gauges, meters, and charts which register various aspects of boiler operation Analyze boiler water for such things as acidity, causticity, and alkalinity and apply chemical treatment for boiler feedwater and air conditioning cooling towers. Perform routine work and identified projects Maintain daily boiler logs. Stay engaged in a low stress environment. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must possess two (2) years’ experience in boiler operation and maintenance
  • High School diploma/GED preferred
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building regulations and codes
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Must be able to squat, lift, sit and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs. unassisted
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen and physical.
  • Must be available to work a rotating schedule between the hour of 6:00am - 12:00pm

Responsibilities
