About The Position

The Station Safety Advisor at Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) is responsible for promoting and implementing safety and health programs to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses. This role involves conducting safety audits, monitoring safety practices, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations to maintain a secure working environment for all personnel at the airport.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM.
• Ability to read, write, fluently speak, and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years of age if driving cargo handling equipment.

• Ability to handle the stress of a fast-paced eight-hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Distribute safety materials and discuss new procedures with station personnel.
• Perform safety audits on warehouse and ramp operations and provide feedback to management.
• Issue safety warnings/tickets as preventive measures.
• Attend safety committee meetings and provide feedback to management.
• Review station audits, incidents, accidents, and injuries to identify areas for improvement.
• Stimulate hourly personnel involvement in the safety culture and distribute safety awards as per company guidelines.
• Assist with incident/accident/injury reports and ensure corrective actions are taken to prevent recurrence.
• Work with the training department to identify deficiencies in safety and on-the-job training.
