Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent and minimal direct training and experience.
  • A valid Driver’s license.
  • Proven ability to drive and perform job safely.
  • Able to work independently with little to no direction.
  • Able to work and contribute to a team environment where inclusiveness, integrity, honestly and openness are valued.
  • Willing to assume responsibility and take initiative to resolve issues.
  • Innovative problem solver without compromising SOPs.
  • Currently reside or is willing to reside within a 30-mile radius from the facility you are assigned.
  • Must be able and willing to work overtime, weekends, shift, on call and standby, and travel overnight as required.
  • Must be able to perform physically demanding activities in all types of weather conditions.
  • Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 25 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects up to 25 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.
  • Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of operations used in maintenance and repair of pipelines and operational equipment.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills demonstrated through training, formal education, and/or experience.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Excel and Word.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

  • Operate all Station prime movers and compressors, including start, stop, load adjustment, alarm monitoring and initial response as required.
  • Recognize and react to abnormal conditions associated with duties.
  • Monitor unit functions during normal operations and performs periodic checks of all operating variables.
  • Set up station in various operating modes based on system demands.
  • Monitor, operate and perform routine inspections on station air systems, fuel systems, cooling water systems, oil systems, and safety systems.
  • Monitor operational pressures and alarm set points.
  • Operate station auxiliary operational equipment and station valves.
  • Monitor operation of station filter systems and liquids storage systems.
  • Complete reports accurately and completely.
  • Direct other employees in performance of routine operational duties.
  • Assist others in routine troubleshooting and repair of station equipment.
  • Involved in planning work and contributing budget related information as required, consistent with the annual budgeting process.
  • Consistently works in a safe, responsible manner and actively participates in safely related programs.
  • Actively participate as a work group team member and maintains a cooperative work relationship with fellow employees.
