About The Position
The West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine (WVSOM) is seeking a Regional Assistant Dean who will monitor the progress and performance of students based within his/her Statewide Campus (SWC) region during years three and four of the curriculum. The physician in this position serves as the chief academic, administrative, financial and public relations liaison for WVSOM at a specific SWC region. This position reports to the Associate Dean for Predoctoral Clinical Education and will have a regular and ongoing presence in the SWC Region listed above. This is a non-classified position with full state benefits if filled at .53 or above and is exempt from FLSA provisions regarding overtime. Salary is commensurate with education, experience and whether or not the successful candidate is full or part time. Not all activities of this position occur within the confines of an 8:00-4:30 schedule and will require regular evening and weekend scheduling. Weekly travel and some overnight travel is required. This position requires the successful candidate report to the appropriate SWC Regional Office or other assigned locations within the SWC Region regularly. This position has been designated as essential. This means that when WVSOM is faced with an institutional emergency, employees in such positions may be required to remain at their work location or to report to work to protect, recover and continue operations at WVSOM.
