About The Position

The Statewide Adoption Network Technical Specialist is a full-time role responsible for providing information and referral assistance to callers of the Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network helpline. The position involves assisting callers in crisis, providing technical assistance, and completing various projects related to resource families. The role requires occasional in-person attendance at the office and client meetings in Pennsylvania, while primarily allowing for telework from home.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in social sciences or a related field and three years of relevant social services or helpline paid work experience; or an Associate's degree and six years of relevant paid work experience.
• Knowledge of Pennsylvania Child Welfare and Mental Health Systems.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, database software, and virtual meeting platforms.
• Excellent communication, active listening, and telephone skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual abilities in both English and Spanish language preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide information and referral assistance to callers of the Statewide Adoption and Permanency Network helpline.
• Assist callers in crisis regarding adoption, foster care, and post permanency services.
• Conduct technical assistance calls to clients for services and information.
• Complete projects, surveys, and partnership outreach as assigned by the Office of Children, Youth and Families.
• Maintain communication with clients and colleagues, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism.
