  • Answer inquiries regarding the workers' compensation adjudication and mediation processes.
  • Provide input for the formulation and amendments to the rules of procedure regarding mediation.
  • Maintain accurate records regarding the disposition of claims and prepare necessary reports.
  • Travel as necessary to conduct mediation conferences.
  • Must be a member of The Florida Bar for at least 5 years.
  • Must have completed a Florida Supreme Court certified circuit civil mediation program.
  • Must be certified as a circuit civil mediator by the Florida Supreme Court.
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation statutes and rules.
  • Ability to understand and communicate legal arguments clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to maintain impartiality and the appearance of impartiality.
  • Ability to draft clear and concise agreements.
  • Ability to manage a busy mediation calendar.
  • Ability to create and manage a docketing system for follow-up.
