About The Position

Our AAMCO in Reading is looking to add an Automotive Technician/Mechanic for our high volume shop As a Technician, you will be working in a total car care repair center, with jobs ranging from inspections and standard maintenance to transmissions, electrical diagnostics and everything in between if you have the proper skill set. Good communications skills are important: you will need to be able to explain the diagnosis you have made to the manager so they can explain it to the customer. Requirements

  • To be qualified for the Technician position, you must have at least 3+ years of automotive mechanical diagnosis, problem solving, and repair experience.
  • Appropriate Diagnostic tools necessary for service performed
  • Valid driver's license
  • PA State Safety and Emissions License
  • Ability to communicate solutions to others
  • Must be punctual and bring a positive attitude to work everyday
  • Be proficient with schematics and flowcharts
  • Multi-tasking ability
  • Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment such as Scanners, electrical diagnostic equipment, AC recovery equipment, Fluid Exchange Equipment, Lift operation, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • ASE/INDUSTRY/AAMCO Certifications are preferred but not required (we can get you there).
