Position Summary NOTE: This position may be located in Greenville or Columbia, South Carolina. The selected candidate will be expected to travel anywhere from 15% of his or her time per month to various locations within South Carolina and Charlotte, NC. The SC Energy Policy Director will be responsible for providing leadership, advocacy and advice in the effectuation of state energy policy for Duke Energy with regard to matters associated with the South Carolina Energy Security Act, with a particular emphasis on energy storage and battery storage procurement. The State Energy Policy, Director, SC must demonstrate a high level of critical/strategic thinking to resolve high impact, complex and/or cross-functional problems with a special emphasis on collaboration and project management in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated leadership, self-starter, communication, and interpersonal skills required. Must possess a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and influence internally with the company and industry peers under tight deadlines as well as be able to provide information, as appropriate, to agency and government officials, industry participants and customers.
