Our Legal Analysis & Policy Development Team researches and develops risk management policies, procedures, accreditation, and training content for public safety agencies including law enforcement, corrections, fire, EMS, and local government agencies. The legal team identifies and reviews legislative, judicial, and best practice developments annually that affect company products in the areas of public safety, risk management, civil rights, employment, criminal, and civil liabilities law. On average, the team reviews approximately 12,000 pieces of statutory and regulatory changes each year. The State Attorney I is responsible for the review and assimilation of complex legislative and regulatory enactments as well as case law for their effect on our company products. The State Attorney I will monitor legislative and judicial developments affecting assigned states, regions, or products, including developments in public safety, risk management, civil rights, employment, criminal, and civil liabilities law. The State Attorney I will draft content and revisions to Lexipol policies and other products based on legislative, judicial, and best practice developments. The is done through working in these areas of focus: Review of legislative and regulatory changes, judicial updates, and best practice developments Timely address high volume level of legislative and regulatory changes related to the six product verticals, by state. Lexipol currently has the following product verticals: probation, jail, juvenile detention, corrections, fire, and law enforcement. See legislative and regulatory enactments as well as case law from both a macro and micro perspective. Exercise sound judgement and accurately identify policy implications on company products based on legislative and regulatory enactments and judicial and best practice developments. Draft Policy Develop high quality and accurate policy language that is legally accurate, clear, and understandable.
