Hours: This .9FTE is a full time, benefit eligible RN position that commits to 3, 12 hour Day shifts M-F, from 7:00AM-7:30PM. Weekend and Holiday rotation. Full-time / Part-time: Full Time Benefits FTE: 0.90 From $37.08/HourWhat You Will Do:The STAT RN role has the knowledge and skills of an ICU nursing generalist, provides critical care support in emergency situations, is utilized as a charge and resource RN in both inpatient and outpatient areas as needed, and routinely demonstrates problem-solving ability.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) for the state of Wisconsin
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • CPR/BLS Certification
  • NIHSS
  • Bachelor's Degree of Nursing (BSN)
  • 2 years of current ICU experience

Responsibilities

  • Provides critical care and leadership support in emergency situations including but not limited to medical emergency, rapid response, stroke alert in inpatient and outpatient areas on campus indentified in medical emergency algorithms.
  • May need to mix, administer, and titrate high alert medication.
  • Coordination and management of critical patients to higher level of care.
  • Provides patient care clinical support as needed (i.e. IV starts, assist with procedures, verify medication administration/wasting, assist in telemetry interpretation as needed, etc…)
  • Acts in charge and resource RN role for inpatient and outpatient areas as identified.
  • Provides constructive feedback as needed to nursing leadership regarding staff performance or unit related operations.
  • Compliant with all applicable hospital and department-specific patient safety and quality goals; provides leadership in performance improvement relative to these goals as assigned.
  • Will continue to rotate into ICU setting to maintain critical care competency and skill set
