About The Position

The Start-Up Technician will provide expert, journeyman-level work in the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, diagnosis, fine-tuning, and repair of refrigeration electrical, mechanical, and microprocessor control systems commonly installed in supermarkets, and single systems, parallel racks systems, display cases, and walk-in boxes. The technician will perform pre-start prep, pressure tests, evacuation, start-up, commissioning, leak detection procedures, and service calls resulting in 100% customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• 7+ years of supermarket refrigeration/freezer experience
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Universal EPA Certification Required
• Must have experience with Novar, CPC, Danfoss, Micro-Thermo, RDM, and other Energy Management Controls and Rack Refrigeration
• Excellent communication skills
• Time management skills
• Team player who can ensure fast, reliable, and expert service to every customer.
• Ability to follow directions and specific process steps to ensure quality workmanship.
• Self-sufficient and able to work with little direct supervision.
• Ability to use an iPad.
• Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
• Be an honest team player, growth-oriented, ability to do whatever it takes; safely!

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledgeable and professional workmanship and project oversight.
• Communicate issues with leadership or customers and take ownership of resolutions.
• Maintain high-quality customer service and care.
• Provide timely and quality operational hand-off and commissioning.
• Provide detailed notes and pictures in all dispatches assigned.
• Follow company policy on all check-in and check-out procedures with all customers.
• Keep a clean, organized truck and professional appearance.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
• Responsible for observing and complying with all safety, environmental, government compliance, and project rules.
