About The Position

The AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) team is dedicated to driving revenue, adoption, and growth from a diverse range of customers, including small- and mid-market accounts as well as enterprise-level clients, including those in the public sector. Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides a comprehensive suite of cloud services that empower companies of all sizes—from startups to large enterprises—to operate virtually everything in the cloud. This includes mobile applications, big data analytics, AI/ML platforms, and microservices/serverless infrastructures. In this context, Amazon Web Services India Private Limited is seeking a Startup Account Manager to spearhead the growth of high-potential startups in India. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for startups and demonstrate a self-starter mentality with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. This role requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment, execute against ambitious goals, and consistently embody the Amazon culture. The Startup Account Manager will be responsible for driving growth and user adoption, facilitating migrations, and ensuring that startups choose AWS as their preferred cloud provider in India. Collaboration with business development, marketing, solution architecture, and partner teams will be essential to lead the execution of business development strategies. Candidates should have a technical background that enables them to engage effectively with CXOs, software developers, and IT architects. Exceptional analytical thinking skills are crucial, as is the ability to communicate and present ideas clearly. The role involves visioning and executing strategies in collaboration with an extended team to meet the diverse needs of startups. Key responsibilities include ensuring customer success with early and growth-stage startups, driving growth and market share in a defined territory, accelerating customer adoption through well-developed business development engagements, and creating compelling value propositions around AWS services. The Startup Account Manager will also engage with founders, CXOs, board members, and VC influencers to foster customer adoption and develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.
