About The Position
The Lead Barista at Starbucks plays a crucial role in supporting the Starbucks Manager to ensure the efficient, professional, safe, and profitable operation of the Starbucks location. This position is integral to maintaining the high standards set by Starbucks and Macy's, focusing on delivering exceptional customer service and quality food products. The Lead Barista is responsible for leading the team during shifts, ensuring that all associates adhere to the Food Division Standards and Best Practices. This includes overseeing the preparation and presentation of various beverages and food items, ensuring they meet Starbucks' quality standards. In addition to operational responsibilities, the Lead Barista is expected to foster a positive work environment by providing ongoing training, feedback, and motivation to team members. This role requires a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration with store management to create a seamless customer experience. The Lead Barista will also be involved in monitoring food quality, maintaining safety and sanitation standards, and utilizing sales reports to meet profit and loss goals. The position demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to adapt to the dynamic retail environment. The Lead Barista will assist in various operational tasks, including ordering supplies, receiving products, and following inventory best practices.
