About The Position

WHAT YOU’LL DO It is the responsibility of the Fountain Worker to supply efficient and courteous service to our guests while displaying salesmanship and friendly hospitality skills. This position must also show a high level of professional and personalized guest service. ROLE EXPECTATIONS Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following: Attend team update meetings. Maintain uniform appearance according to established guidelines. Adhere to policies and procedures and Health Department regulations. Greet guests in a friendly and prompt manner to take orders for food and beverage items. Use suggestive selling techniques. Know all menu items. Know the locations of all Rio outlets and services available to the guests. Responsible for obtaining, reconciling, and returning cash bank at the beginning and end of shift. Accurately input food and beverage orders into the point-of-Sale system. Follow cash handling procedures and cash register policies. Rotate and date all products. Always invite guests back to the outlet. Relay all guests’ complaints to the Manager on duty. Keep work area stocked with needed supplies, keep work area neat, clean, and organized. Prepare all coffee products as needed. Clean coffee machines daily and as needed. Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products. Complete assigned side work. Turnover/takeover station according to established procedures. Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment, multiple tasks to be managed under time constraint. Must be able to handle heavy business volume and sensitive situations relating to staff and guest problems, in a timely manner & be able to grasp, hold, reach, bend, push-pull, and/or lift to 50 lbs.

Requirements

  • Must have 6 months previous barista experience, Starbucks experience preferred.
  • Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner.
  • Must present a neat and professional appearance.
  • Work requires attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Work requires interactions with customers, the public and co-workers.
  • Work requires use of a computer and/or cash register.
  • Previous experience as a barista trainer or training baristas.
  • Food Handlers certification
  • Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
  • Must be able to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time with frequent bending, stooping, and lifting.
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25-50 pounds unassisted in the performance of specific tasks as assigned.
  • Must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces.
