About The Position

The Starbucks Barista at Food City is responsible for creating a welcoming Starbucks experience for customers by providing prompt service, quality beverages, and maintaining a clean environment. This role emphasizes customer interaction, product knowledge, and adherence to company standards to ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Must be 16 years of age or older.
• Food Service/Coffee experience is a plus, but not required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to learn how to mix a wide variety of coffee and tea products.
• Ability to learn the ingredients that go into various products.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions.
• Ability to perform routine and repetitive tasks with constant interaction with various individuals.

Responsibilities

• Ensure efficient and courteous customer service at all times.
• Take customer orders and ensure timely completion to customer satisfaction.
• Prepare, bag, pour, and stock Starbucks products, ensuring product quality and safety.
• Maintain a positive and friendly attitude towards customers and fellow associates.
• Engage with customers, offering product information and using suggestive selling techniques.
• Process cash register transactions using the POS system.
• Provide quality beverages, whole bean, and food products consistently by adhering to recipe and presentation standards.
• Act with integrity and knowledge to promote the culture and values of Food City and Starbucks.
• Operate tools and equipment safely and follow all routine procedures.
• Follow company food safety program and food-handling procedures.
• Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts to adhere to company time and attendance policies.
