About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Starbucks Barista is creating the Starbucks experience for our customers by providing customers with prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Silverton Casino’s policies, procedures, and core values.

Requirements

  • Barista experience required.
  • Identification that establishes identity.
  • Identification that establishes the right to work in the United States.
  • Nevada Food Handlers Card.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Food & Beverage experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • The ability to handle cash and multitask.
  • Making handcrafted beverages to meet Starbucks’ standards.
  • Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, and body language.
  • Requires prolonged standing and walking with full mobility (i.e., bending and reaching from a level height to 6 feet).
  • The ability to lift and carry items up to 30 pounds.
  • Normal hearing, vision, hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity required.
  • The ability to perform under stressful, demanding situations in perhaps small quarters of four feet or less, with four-foot access and contact with Team Members and Guests.
  • The ability to work in a smoking environment.
  • Maintains an awareness of applicable laws and operates within those guidelines.
  • Adheres to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintains a high quality of guest service according to Silverton Style.
  • Checks for proper identification.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the future.
  • Adheres to all appearance and uniform standards.
  • Maintains an open line of communication with Managers.
  • Maintains a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with guest, fellow Team Members, and Vendors.
  • The ability to accept performance feedback in a professional manner.
  • Regular attendance to all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.
  • Arriving on time for all scheduled shifts is considered an essential function of the job.
  • Other duties as assigned.
