About The Position

Working at Target means helping all families discover the joy of everyday life. The Food & Beverage team enables a consistent experience for guests by ensuring product is fresh, in stock, available and accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. They are experts of operations, process and efficiency, leading food and food services including replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing and promotional signing processes for all Food and Beverage areas of the store. The role of a Starbucks Barista can provide skills and experiences in providing a consistent Starbucks experience for guests by curating handcrafted Starbucks, Food quality and freshness management, and State and federal food safety and OSHA guidelines.

Requirements

Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and other team members
Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed
Work both independently and with a team
Resolve guest questions quickly on the spot
Attention to detail and follow multi-step processes
Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
Access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues
Interpret instructions, reports and information
Accurately handle cash register operations as needed
Climb up and down ladders if needed
Scan, handle and move merchandise efficiently and safely, including frequently lifting or moving product up to 10 pounds and occasionally lifting or moving merchandise up to 44 pounds without additional assistance from others
Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends and holidays); come to work when scheduled, work scheduled shifts and take required meal and rest breaks
Ability to work in environments that will include refrigeration and freezer temperatures and conditions; where common allergens may also be handled or present
Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties, including but not limited to Drive-Ups, carryout, etc.
Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shifts (shift length may vary)

Create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience by delivering on the following commitments: Greet: 10ft: be friendly – smile, make eye contact, or wave; 4ft: greet the guest, smile and initiate a warm, helpful interaction
Help guests find what they need and/or resolve issues to ensure a smooth, easy shopping experience

Execute food and beverage processes including food deliveries, replenishment, instocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, and organizing, and storing reserve product
Always be aware of current and future promotions within Starbucks
Follow all Target and Starbucks routines to deliver a consistent experience for guests while completing tasks efficiently and maintaining food safety
Support the Starbucks Drive Up process to ensure digital guest orders are fulfilled accurately and on time
Maintain an inviting dining area for guests throughout shift
Engage with guests to meet and exceed their expectations based on Starbucks standards
Produce hand crafted beverages and food to specifications on recipe cards
Follow all food safety requirements, including monitoring and recording temperature sensitive food items, as outlined in best practice
Complete and record all cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space as outlined in best practices
Locate and identify damaged, recalled or expired items and process according to best practices
Ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders according to best practices
Follow proper perishable inventory procedures to ensure an accurate recording of inventory
Execute sampling best practices
Complete all required training requirements and certifications related to quality control of Starbucks products
Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety and compliance
Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct where possible
Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up (OPU) and Drive-up (DU) and maintain a compliance culture while executing those duties, such as compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws
