About The Position

The Associate ensures total operation and service that meets standards, providing customers with prompt service, quality coffee selection, purchase, and preparation per Price Chopper standards through supervision of Baristas. The Associate assists the Food Service Manager with daily operating procedures that include quality Price Chopper operations, financials, and training of Barista associates.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Satisfactory Performance Reviews.
• Basic Literacy.
• Basic Computer Skills.
• Strong Communication Skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service at all times.
• Determine customer needs and make suggestions in serving those needs with appropriate products.
• Engage in sampling and suggestive selling.
• End each customer transaction with a 'Thank You'.
• Assist Food Service Manager in hiring new associates.
• Coach and train new associates to Barista Certification.
• Ensure compliance with store, Price Chopper policies and procedures by self and Certified Barista associates.
• Follow all health, safety, and food safety guidelines for all products.
• Assist customers in product selection.
• Maintain customer service area and equipment in a clean and appealing manner.
• Keep a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
• Demonstrate a 'just say yes' behavior when taking care of customers.
• Prepare a variety of customer beverage orders to Price Chopper standards.
• Perform all cleaning tasks in accordance with schedules and cleaning standards.
• Follow all merchandising standards, stocking, and rotation.
• Ensure all equipment maintenance is followed to procedure and schedule.
• Perform all cash handling and register policies and procedures and accountability.
• Follow all inventory control policies.
• Manage all product and supply orders to meet business needs.
• Maintain recordkeeping in accordance with Price Chopper procedures.
• Complete Initial Store Training and pass Barista certification with a 90% score or better.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
