As a Starbucks Barista at Target, you will provide a consistent Starbucks experience for guests by curating handcrafted beverages and managing food quality and freshness. You will be responsible for executing food and beverage processes, maintaining food safety, and ensuring an inviting dining area for guests. Your role will involve engaging with guests, fulfilling digital orders, and supporting various guest services while adhering to safety and compliance standards.

  • Deliver an exceptional guest experience by providing a fresh and abundant shopping experience during all hours of operations.
  • Uphold and maintain the execution of the Food & Beverage Standards.
  • Execute food and beverage processes including food deliveries, replenishment, instocks routines, data accuracy, culling, rotation, cleaning, signing, and organizing.
  • Be aware of current & future promotions within Starbucks.
  • Follow all Target and Starbucks routines to deliver a consistent experience for guests.
  • Support the Starbucks Drive Up process to ensure digital guest orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Maintain an inviting dining area for guests throughout the shift.
  • Engage with guests to meet and exceed their expectations based on Starbucks standards.
  • Produce handcrafted beverages and food to specifications on recipe cards.
  • Follow all food safety requirements, including monitoring and recording temperature-sensitive food items.
  • Complete and record all cleaning tasks in the Starbucks space.
  • Locate and identify damaged, recalled, or expired items and process according to best practice.
  • Ensure accurate in-stocks by placing store-initiated orders.
  • Follow proper perishable inventory procedures.
  • Execute sampling best practices.
  • Complete all required training requirements and certifications related to quality control of Starbucks products.
  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
  • Work in a safe manner at all times; comply with all safety policies and training.
  • Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up, and Drive-up.
  • Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests.
  • Enjoy interacting and helping others, including guests and team members.
  • Thrive in a fast-moving, highly active, and physically demanding role.
  • Open to working a flexible work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts.
  • Previous Starbucks/food service experience preferred, but not required.
  • Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
  • Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners.
  • Work both independently and with a team.
  • Resolve guest questions quickly.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes.
  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.
  • Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
  • Climb up and down ladders.
  • Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely.
  • Reliable and prompt attendance necessary.
  • Ability to work in an environment that could range from 34°F to -10°F.
  • Ability to work in spaces where common allergens may be handled or present.
  • Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements.
