About The Position

The Starbucks Barista at the Lincoln Marriott Cornhusker Hotel is responsible for creating memorable experiences for guests by providing fast and friendly customer service, preparing high-quality Starbucks beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized work area. This part-time role emphasizes attention to detail and adherence to health standards, ensuring that guests enjoy their time at this historic Nebraska landmark.

Requirements

  • No prior experience required; prior Barista experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain any required food permits.
  • Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly manner.
  • Ability to inform and direct guests to events throughout the hotel.
  • Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry 30 lbs.
  • Ability to stand and move continuously to perform essential job functions.
  • Basic mathematical skills necessary for operating a point of sale system and cash register.
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills in English.

Nice To Haves

  • Cash handling experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately collect payments and distribute change using a cash register.
  • Provide fast and friendly customer service to guests.
  • Prepare Starbucks beverages consistently to standard.
  • Maintain cleanliness and condition of the work area, performing general cleaning tasks as assigned.
  • Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products.
  • Comply with accounting guidelines regarding receipt of payments and cash drawer management.
  • Adhere to all Marcus Hotels and Resorts policies and procedures, Marriott Standards, and Information Protection procedures.
