The Stanford Engineering Internship at E. & J. Gallo offers Chemical Engineering students from Stanford University a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a world-class research and manufacturing facility. This internship, lasting three months from July to October 2025, allows interns to work closely with managers, winemakers, and operators, contributing to impactful projects while developing valuable skills in a collaborative environment.

  • Assist in the research, development, and scale-up of new and cutting-edge technologies for the Winery.
  • Participate in technology projects and assist in managing ongoing development projects.
  • Currently enrolled at Stanford University in a Junior or Senior class standing working towards a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering; OR currently enrolled at Stanford University working towards a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Commit to working for a minimum of ten (10) weeks, starting approximately July 2025 through October 2025.
  • Candidate is required to have a valid driver's license, a safe driving record, and reliable vehicle (if applicable) at the time of hire.
  • Required to lift and move up to 40 lbs when necessary.
  • Required to work at heights of 50 feet, on tops of tanks inspecting wine surfaces when necessary.
  • Required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
  • Required to be 18 years or older.
  • Strong applied technical skills and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable in a manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical inclination and an aptitude for design of equipment and manufacturing processes.
