About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated T&D Standards Engineer (Civil) II/III to support the safe, reliable, and efficient construction, operation, and maintenance of our Transmission & Distribution (T&D) systems. In this role, you will apply your civil engineering expertise to moderate-scale engineering and construction projects, contributing to the development and enhancement of T&D standards and practices.

Requirements

• A four-year Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or related applied science discipline from an ABET accredited institution.
• For Engineer II: Two (2) years working experience in Engineering-related positions.
• For Engineer III: Five (5) years working experience in Engineering-related positions.
• Experience in structural loading analysis using O-Calc or similar software programs.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Civil/Structural Engineering Degree.
• Ability to apply good construction, operating and engineering practices while adhering to safety rules and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining construction standards and material specifications.
• Conducting engineering analyses and evaluating materials and failed components.
• Supporting internal design and construction teams.
• Identifying improvement opportunities across T&D design and construction processes.
• Making technical decisions and providing guidance.
• Engaging with customers to assess their needs and determine project scope.
• Providing oversight of engineering technical programs.
• Reviewing design and documentation of projects for compliance.
• Planning, coordinating, and applying resources on moderate projects.
• Providing technical guidance and leadership to less experienced engineers.
• Staying informed on current technology and engineering developments.
