About The Position

The Warehouse Lead supports the Warehouse Supervisor and Warehouse Manager by coordinating daily warehouse operations and overseeing the delegation of assignments to warehouse staff. This role ensures tasks are completed efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company standards. The Warehouse Lead maintains inventory accuracy, oversees product movement, promotes safety and cleanliness, and performs Warehouse Associate duties as needed to support operational demands.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of warehouse experience required; prior leadership or lead experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
  • Strong understanding of inventory control procedures and best practices.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification).
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office or similar systems).
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and all major events.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs. regularly (greater weight with assistance or equipment).
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Ability to work in varying warehouse temperatures and conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee the delegation of daily warehouse assignments to team members, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.
  • Complete administrative duties accurately, including inventory logs, product transfers, adjustments, and assigning inventory bin locations within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Conduct and document physical inventory counts as required.
  • Establish and maintain best warehouse practices, including proper inventory rotation and consolidation to optimize space utilization.
  • Audit inventory replenishment transfers to ensure accurate fill rates and report discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor or Warehouse Manager.
  • Oversee the loading, unloading, and transportation of products within the warehouse and across locations, including cross-warehouse inventory transfers as needed.
  • Monitor warehouse security to safeguard merchandise and assets, utilizing best-practice loss prevention methods when applicable.
  • Direct and enforce daily warehouse housekeeping practices, emphasizing cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety policies.
  • Perform all Warehouse Associate functions as required to support operational needs.
