The Stamping Production Engineering Tool & Die Specialist is responsible for supporting and optimizing stamping operations within a high-volume automotive manufacturing facility. This role ensures that stamping processes meet quality, efficiency, and safety standards in alignment with ISO 14001 requirements. The specialist collaborates closely with manufacturing, maintenance, quality and engineering teams to troubleshoot stamping issues, implement process improvement, and rive continuous improvement initiatives. Key responsibilities include but not limited to, review of die designs of metal stamping tool to meet production and quality standards. Oversee any necessary fabrication, testing, and debugging of new/old tools and dies. Collaborate with product design engineers, machine engineers, and manufacturing team to ensure a seamless integration of new tools into the production process. Maintain detailed documentation of tool designs, modifications, and maintenance activities. Develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules to the Tool Room to enhance tool longevity and reliability. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing tools to minimize downtime and improve efficiency. Assist in repairs of tooling in the event of catastrophic failures. Conduct thorough inspections and testing of tools to identify potential problems and take corrective actions. Recommend and implement improvements to enhance tool performance and reduce maintenance costs. Decide and implement the workflow and programming for how product will be produced and assembled on the production line.
