About The Position

A day in the role Step onto the floor and set the tone for a safe, efficient shift. You’ll open with a quick safety huddle, walk the line to verify PPE use, and spot-check equipment. When issues arise, you drive root-cause problem solving, keep production flowing, and rally the team with servant leadership that emphasizes coaching, recognition, and shared success. Safety leadership Own the safety culture: conduct audits, reinforce procedures, and lead incident and near-miss investigations. Address at-risk conditions and behaviors immediately and follow through on corrective actions. Ensure all team members are current on safety training and consistently use PPE. Coaching and culture Lead by serving: remove roadblocks, provide resources, and celebrate wins. Build skill through training, mentoring, and structured cross-training plans. Promote a respectful, inclusive environment where every voice is welcomed. Manage attendance and conduct and apply company policies fairly. Act as the first point of contact for employee relations matters and collaborate with Union Stewards on contract and disciplinary topics. Production execution in stamping Supervise daily operations in the stamping press department to hit output, quality, and delivery targets. Balance labor and machine loading to maximize utilization in a high-demand setting. Shift priorities quickly, troubleshoot problems, and minimize downtime to maintain flow. Continuous improvement Champion Lean initiatives including 5S, Kaizen, and waste reduction. Analyze scrap, downtime, and bottlenecks; implement countermeasures with quality, maintenance, and engineering. Encourage team-driven ideas that improve throughput and efficiency. Communication and reporting Maintain accurate production, quality, and safety records; report KPIs to leadership. Partner with cross-functional teams to quickly resolve quality, tooling, and maintenance issues.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to lead with a servant-leadership mindset
  • 1–3 years in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing setting
  • Supervisory experience, ideally within high-volume stamping press operations
  • Working knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methods

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing Engineering, or Operations preferred
  • Relevant internship or co-op experience will be considered
