About The Position

Responsibilitiesarrow_right Develop, implement, maintain, and improve process capabilities using appropriate tools and methodologies. Input and analyze numerical data to identify patterns and relationships for optimal workflow and process development. Review Key Performance Indicator (KPI) monitoring systems and leverage technology to achieve goals. Drive and champion a continuous improvement culture within the team. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities to prepare products or processes for launch. Ensure compliance with all local, legal, and Freudenberg Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements. Design stamping dies, and other tooling for process improvements. Communicate with stamping contractors and vendors regarding product specifications and requirements. Assist with scheduling start-up activities and die pre-production, including initial controls and inspections. Mentor Apprentices and Technicians to increase individual and team capability. Support the creation of training documents and deliver training as needed. Manage multiple projects and priorities as assigned; maintain schedules and direct resources. Provide data driven product design changes to enhance tooling, quality and production feasibility. Prepare and make presentations to management; provide Gantt charts, timelines, and other written documentation. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 5 years of stamping process and die design or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience in Steel stamping process, die design, other tooling for process improvements - technologies: Compound, Progressive, and Transfer.
  • Strong conceptualization skills for mechanical components and understanding of component strength requirements.
  • Proficiency in CAD and/ or UG for reading, creating and editing drawings (manual and/or CAD), with knowledge of GD&T (ASME 14.5 - 1982).
  • Knowledge of Lean System tools and its methodologies; Six Sigma Green Belt or Red-X Apprentice preferred.
  • Proven experience in Quality Control tools.
  • Proven project management skills - Effective oral and written communication, time and team management, adaptability, leadership, planning, budgeting,
  • Strong analytical skills for numerical data analysis, problem solving and workflow optimization.
  • Ability to interpret and apply technical specifications and customer standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Willingness and ability to travel, domestic and international.
  • Professional-level English language skills preferred.
  • Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong work ethics, collaborative, respectful, prone to build strong working relationship with different hierarchy levels and cross-functional teams.
