About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Stamping Die Adjuster to support production operations by setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting stamping dies in press equipment. This role is critical to maintaining part quality, minimizing downtime, and ensuring safe, efficient press operation. The Die Adjuster serves as the key link between press operations and the tool room, making real-time adjustments to keep tooling and processes running within specification.

Requirements

  • Strong working knowledge of stamping dies and press operations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and strip layouts
  • Experience troubleshooting progressive, transfer, or single-hit dies
  • Mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3–7 years of stamping, die setting, or die adjusting experience preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Tool & Die, Machining, or Maintenance background a plus

Responsibilities

  • Set up, install, and adjust stamping dies in production presses
  • Perform press-side troubleshooting to correct quality and process issues
  • Adjust shut height, feed timing, pilots, sensors, and die alignment
  • Diagnose misfeeds, scrap issues, burrs, and dimensional defects
  • Perform minor die repairs and adjustments (shimming, replacing springs, buttons, pilots, etc.)
  • Support first-piece approvals and production changeovers
  • Verify part quality using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Communicate tooling issues and repair needs to Toolmakers and Maintenance
  • Work closely with press operators to maintain stable production
  • Follow all safety, lockout/tagout, and 5S procedures
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Perform other duties as assigned
