About The Position

Toyotomi America Corporation (TAC) in Springfield, KY manufactures metal stampings for the OEM Automotive Industry. The company supplies body panels, structural parts, and sub-assemblies to major Automotive Manufactures and Tier 1 companies, including the capability to fabricate stamping dies. The role of the Stamping Assistant Manager is to Provide technical and Administrative support to the Stamping department.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of product design.
  • Knowledge of materials and parts fabrication processes.
  • Knowledge of tooling and production equipment capabilities.
  • Knowledge of assembly methods and quality control standards.
  • Proficient personal computer and software skills.
  • Leadership (team development, ability to influence, organizational awareness).

  • Bachelor’s degree in business required, and/or five (5) or more years of experience in related field, and high school diploma or G.E.D., or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, direct and coordinate stamping processes as necessary.
  • Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods.
  • Analyze and plan work force utilization, space requirements, workflow, and design layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
  • May confer with vendor to determine product specification and arrange for purchase of equipment, materials or parts.
  • Confer with management and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, etc. to facilitate production processes.
  • Demonstrate a hands-on ability to solve stamping problems.
  • Identify potential stamping quality problems from drawings and/or be able to work with design for problems that develop in production.
  • Project management. Must be able to lead, plan and direct the roles and responsibilities of each team member involved with an assigned project.
  • Understand the responsibilities on the department Manager and demonstrate the ability to fill in during times of absence.
  • Succession planning. Must develop one or more subordinates to be able to fill the AM position in times of absence.
  • Must be flexible and able to work in all areas and in your department regardless of duties listed above in order to accomplish TAC goals and objectives
