The Gund Company has an immediate opening for an Experienced Set Up Operator to join our team! Shift: 6am - 2:30pm (M-F) Starting Hourly Wage: $22+ hour based on experience Work location: Noblesville, IN About The Gund Company The Gund Company, a leader in engineered material solutions, specializes in customized electrical insulation products. With 12 global facilities, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products and excellent customer service. We are currently seeking a Utility Operator to join our team. Job Summary As a Experienced Set Up Machine Operator, you will play a key role in supporting production operations, ensuring that parts are fabricated to meet work order specifications and customer requirements. This includes operating and setting up stamping presses, conducting manual assembly tasks, and adhering to safety and quality standards. Set up and operate stamping presses (Minster, Bliss, V&O) and routers. Inspect and document product measurements to ensure they meet company quality, quantity, and customer standards. Perform minor maintenance on equipment. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following all safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals. Other duties as assigned. Key Responsibilities Experienced Set Up Machine Operator Ability to set up and operate production equipment such as stamping presses. Perform manual assembly and fabrication tasks using hand tools and machines, as necessary. Inspect products to ensure they meet company quality, quantity, and customer standards. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following all safety protocols. Assist with troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance on production machinery as needed. Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 yrs+ experience with setting up stamping, molding machines or similar equipment.
  • Strong basic math skills.
  • Ability to use measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers).
  • Ability to trouble-shoot equipment set up.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and adjust to emergency production needs.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with reading blueprints and technical drawings.
