About The Position

Stage ingredients for production by performing the following duties: Other duties may be assigned. Reads next day production schedule to determine ingredients to be gathered. Weighs or counts ingredients and places the ingredients on pallets according to production paperwork. Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus. Positions forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, or materials and transports load to designated area. Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device. Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device. Completes forklift checklist in computer. Replaces liquefied gas tank. Assists with warehouse cleaning. Perform any additional tasks assigned by management. Assist on wet or dry side of staging as needed. Print labels for staging as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must be able to speak, read and write in English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic knowledge of computers and the ability to input data into a computer.
  • Lift 50 pounds 100-200 times during the shift
  • Stand and/or walk for the duration of the shift
  • Use hands to finger, grip, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms
  • Talk and hear
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
