About The Position

The stagehand is responsible for assisting in the production aspect of the events held at any of the locations for the Flint River Entertainment Complex. This position is a part-time position where the hours are determined by the event schedule of the building. This role will pay an hourly wage of $10 to $14.00. Benefits for PT roles: 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. Also, OVG provides part-time, seasonal, and internship employees with one hour of accrued paid leave per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year. EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline.

Requirements

• Must be able to handle simple hand tools effectively.
• Must possess the ability to lift upwards to 75 lbs. safely.
• Must be punctual.
• Must be able to follow oral directions precisely.
• Must display the ability to work well with others.
• Must have some knowledge of stage/theatrical terms.
• Must be able to work flexible schedule, weekends and holiday hours.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision of the Building Steward, assists Lessees and/or their production companies in unloading, constructions, operating , and reloading equipment for scheduled events.
• Follow oral instructions fully and precisely as to job given.
• Work with others in a timely manner under close quarters and in potentially harmful situations.
