Stagehands serve as intermittent staff for the Schottenstein Center and provide general support for special events, including load-in and load-out. Stagehands follow direction from staff and road crew, interact and communicate well, work safely as part of a team, and are flexible and accepting of changes in a creative environment. Duties include, but are not limited to: General labor including box pushing (70%) Installing carpentry, staging, and props (15%) Installing video, sound, and entertainment lighting equipment (15%) Rigging installation/operation (based on experience and attendance of Schottenstein Center trainings) Driving a forklift (based on experience and attendance of Schottenstein Center trainings) Truck loading/unloading (based on experience)
