About The Position

This is a two year temporary, intermittent, on-call position. This position is responsible for a variety of technical specialties that provide production support for events in the Center. This includes day-to-day operation of the facilities and equipment for events, classrooms or meetings, and event audio-visual support. Duties are performed under the supervision of a Stage Manager or crew leader to ensure proper use of technical equipment and to ensure the safety of all involved, by following safety standards, policies and procedures.

Requirements

• One year of experience working for a performing arts center, theater, repertory or stock company engaged in applicable production specialty.
• Ability to follow verbal and written directions/instructions.
• Ability to establish effective working relationships and maintain a positive working atmosphere.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of safety in the workplace.
• Ability to perform complex technical set-ups under stress and within pressing deadlines.
• Working knowledge of or ability to quickly learn University infrastructure, policies, and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• 12 units of applicable college course or 6 months of professional training may be substituted for 6 months of required experience.
