Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent experience in HR, recruiting, or business administration).
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in an administrative, recruiting, or HR support role.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
  • A collaborative, service oriented mindset with a commitment to doing what’s right.

Responsibilities

  • Represent First State as an employer of choice through respectful, consistent, and high quality interactions with candidates and hiring managers.
  • Ensure job postings, offers, and documentation are accurate, timely, and reflective of our standards.
  • Always protect the confidentiality of candidate and employee information.
  • Deliver a positive, supportive candidate experience from application through onboarding.
  • Serve as a responsive, solutions oriented partner to hiring managers throughout the recruiting process.
  • Support onboarding and transitions to help new hires feel welcomed and prepared.
  • Manage job requisitions, recruiting workflows, and pre-employment screenings with accuracy and follow through.
  • Track recruiting activity, maintain records, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Meet timelines and commitments while managing multiple priorities.
  • Adjust priorities and workflows to meet changing staffing needs and organizational goals.
  • Learn and navigate recruiting systems, tools, and processes confidently and efficiently.
  • Respond constructively to shifting deadlines, urgent needs, or process updates.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally in situations that require discretion, consistency, or difficult conversations.
  • Ask questions, seek clarity, and escalate issues when appropriate to maintain quality and compliance.
  • Support fair and objective candidate selection practices.
  • Proactively identify ways to improve recruiting processes, documentation, and candidate experience.
  • Stay engaged in recruiting activities beyond day to day tasks, including workforce initiatives and branding efforts.
  • Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and follow up to resolution.
  • Maintain focus and professionalism during busy recruiting cycles and high volume workloads.
  • Balance competing demands with a calm, organized, and solution focused approach.
  • Demonstrate persistence and reliability when managing detailed, process driven work.
