Your Role on the Team Position Summary: The Staffing Coordinator will provide support to the house supervisor, managers, and directors to ensure sufficient staff coverage for all shifts within the medical center. Works closely with the house supervisor and other clinical/administrative departments to project staffing needs and achieve required staffing levels. The Staffing Coordinator will assist in ensuring the smooth operation of hospital staffing services by coordinating, supporting, and managing the deployment of staff members across various departments. Collaborates with contract labor agencies to promptly communicate staffing needs, ensuring the facility is consistently staffed accordingly. Utilizes and maintains staffing scheduling software/programs to schedule shifts, monitor staffing levels, and input related data.

Requirements

  • Working knowledge of MS Office products including Excel
  • Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Basic knowledge of Title 22 regulations as it relates to staffing practices and labor laws
  • Ability to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to appropriately deal with stressful situations and individuals while remaining calm and professional
  • A minimum of 1 year staffing office coordinator experience in an acute care facility

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of basic hospital policies and procedures, knowledge of medical terminology
  • Administrative experience in a healthcare environment
