The position involves directing all aspects of staffing needs and operations at the center, ensuring positive labor outcomes and effective onboarding processes. The role requires liaising with recruitment resources to fill vacancies promptly and supporting candidate screening and hiring processes. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining employee schedules in accordance with state, company, and facility guidelines to meet staffing needs effectively.

  • Identifies open positions for recruitment and coordinates efforts with internal and external resources.
  • Maintains a monthly recruitment plan with weekly follow-up.
  • Monitors candidate flow and coordinates/schedules manager interviews for timely employment selection.
  • Completes pre-employment screens such as background checks, drug screens, and references in accordance with company policy.
  • Directs, coordinates, and schedules orientation sessions with the Leadership Team to meet company guidelines.
  • Completes new hire paperwork, I-9 forms, mentor assignments, and time clock enrollment during onboarding.
  • Prepares master schedules to meet facility needs based on employee status, using independent judgment to ensure operational coverage.
  • Notifies leadership regarding call-ins and uses discretion to secure coverage and manage operational costs.
  • Maintains accurate attendance records and informs management of attendance-related concerns.
  • Enters and maintains scheduling data using company software and completes required training.
  • Drives training and support for managers and staff on scheduling software programs and resources.
  • Assists in ensuring HPPD, OT, etc. align with budget and daily census, making scheduling adjustments as needed.
  • Prepares and submits reports on staffing operations including miss punches, open positions, HPPD, overtime, agency, and schedule variances.
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated current experience in scheduling/staffing in a long-term care facility.
  • Education in a relevant field.
  • Certifications related to staffing or human resources.
  • Additional experience in staffing or scheduling.
