About The Position

Dean’s Professional Services is seeking a high-impact Staffing Director to lead and elevate our staffing operations. This role is responsible for leadership, service delivery, recruiting performance, operational efficiency, and revenue support across our staffing lines of business. This is a leadership role for someone who can run the department, build structure, drive urgency, and ensure our staffing operation delivers excellence—every day.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years progressive leadership experience in staffing operations
  • Proven success managing a team of 15–20 employees
  • Strong performance management and coaching skills
  • KPI-driven leadership style (service + results)
  • Strong communication and client partnership skills
  • Must be local to Houston

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare staffing operations experience a plus
  • Multi-state staffing operations experience a plus
  • ATS/Staffing systems experience (Bullhorn preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and performance-manage staffing team members (recruiters, staffing coordinators, support staff)
  • Establish accountability through KPI scorecards, 1:1s, huddles, training reinforcement, and performance documentation
  • Support staffing team hiring, onboarding, training, and retention
  • Create a culture of ownership, professionalism, urgency, and service
  • Ensure job orders are worked with urgency, precision, and consistency
  • Improve submission quality, time-to-fill, interview scheduling, onboarding readiness, and retention
  • Partner with Credentialing/Compliance to ensure candidates are cleared and assignment-ready
  • Strengthen key client relationships through proactive communication and service delivery standards
  • Manage escalations and resolve issues quickly to protect relationships and revenue
  • Drive team performance that increases fills, retention, and margin
  • Monitor and report performance trends, risks, and wins to EMT
