ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Coordinates and maintains employees’ schedules. 2. Assures daily staffing needs are consistent with facility standards. 3. Communicates with the Director of Nursing regarding all staffing issues that directly impact the nursing department or facility. 4. Maintains nursing time and attendance records; maintains accurate “as worked” schedules per state and federal regulations. (NOTE: Approval of time off requests is the responsibility of the Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing, not the Staffing Coordinator.) 5. Completes documentation per facility policy and procedures. 6. Communicates with external agencies to ensure staffing levels are maintained as directed by DON or ADON. 7. Other duties as assigned by the DON or ADON. Qualifications1. Skill in planning and organization. 2. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. 3. Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writings. 4. Basic computer knowledge preferred. 5. Skill in critical thinking/problem solving. 6.
