Must be self-directed with a high level of accountability and minimal supervision. Primary role is adjusting and maintaining staff work schedules. Included in this role: utilizes each department staffing policy for decision making in scheduling appropriate levels of patient/resident care providers; utilize requests to determine scheduling for staff; negotiates staffing needs with leaders and/or directors; anticipates immediate and future staffing needs and works to resolve these staffing problems (i.e. broadcast to staff, utilizes, PRN staff, or reallocates existing staff). Will be expected to track, document, and report staffing data to directors for analysis. Must have strong communication and negotiation skills to work with employees, leads, and department directors. Must be well organized, have high degree of self-motivation and independence and be flexible when needed to adjust schedules. Must use computer applications for email, scheduling, excel, and payroll. Must be able to work with multiple interruptions, under stress, and with large interactive groups all wanting scheduling requests.
