About The Position

The Staffing Coordinator at Miami Valley Hospital is responsible for the staffing and scheduling of nursing staff, including float and agency personnel, to meet patient care needs. This full-time position involves clerical duties, collaboration with healthcare professionals, and maintaining personal records for the Division of Nursing. The coordinator ensures adequate coverage for patient care areas by managing schedules, time-off requests, and staffing allocations effectively.

Requirements

• Completion of High School or equivalent (such as a GED).
• Preferred: Associate's Degree in a related field (Clinical or Nursing).
• Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous.
• No prior job-related work experience is necessary, but experience in roles such as Scheduler, Coordinator, or Health Unit Coordinator is beneficial.
• Preferred: 1 year of related medical secretarial experience.
• Solid understanding of customer service principles and proficiency in office practices and procedures.

Nice To Haves

• Experience as a Patient Care Assistant (PCA), Patient Care Technician (PCT), Medical Records Clerk (MCR), or Medical Assistant (MA).

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain work schedules for clinical staff.
