About The Position

The Staffing Coordinator at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation plays a crucial role in managing the scheduling and staffing needs of the nursing department. Requirements

  • Proficiency in computer applications is required.
  • Minimum of three years of administrative experience is preferred.
  • Previous hospital or staffing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain staff schedules using When I Work according to established guidelines.
  • Train new staff on the When I Work program and schedule orientations.
  • Review daily time schedules for accuracy and notify managers of inconsistencies.
  • Schedule replacement personnel as needed to meet staffing requirements.
  • Maintain per diem fulfillment as per Nursing Staffing policy and notify supervisors accordingly.
  • Collaborate with nursing managers and HR to maintain payroll records for nursing staff.
  • Coordinate personnel assignments based on qualifications and maintain detailed attendance records.
  • Forecast staffing needs to prevent emergencies and ensure safe patient care.
  • Maintain agency files and ensure compliance of agency staff with hospital standards.
  • Reconcile agency invoices with schedules and manage discrepancies with the CNO or Nurse Manager.
  • Maintain current contact information for nursing department staff and collaborate with HR for updates.
  • Provide administrative support to Nursing Leadership and other hospital managers as needed.
  • Cross-train and support other administrative roles as required.
