About The Position

CMA - Central Supply & Staffing Coordinator (Full Time) Cascades at Galveston | Galveston, TX Cascades at Galveston is actively seeking a Full-Time Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team in a dual role as Central Supply & Staffing Coordinator . This position plays a key role in ensuring our nursing team has the supplies, staffing, and support needed to deliver excellent care every day. Position Overview The CMA - Central Supply & Staffing Coordinator is responsible for managing nursing supply inventory, coordinating staff schedules, and supporting floor operations as needed.

Requirements

  • Current Texas CMA license in good standing
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and nursing operations

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred
  • Experience with staffing coordination or scheduling strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate monthly inventory of all nursing and medical supplies
  • Order, receive, and distribute nursing supplies in accordance with facility procedures
  • Unpack, inspect, and verify supplies upon receipt; report discrepancies to the Administrator
  • Prepare and coordinate supplies for return or external distribution when required
  • Create, manage, and maintain the weekly nursing staffing schedule (CNA, CMA, LVN, RN)
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership to address staffing needs and coverage gaps
  • Work on the floor in a CMA capacity on an as-needed basis to support patient care
  • Ensure compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
